The moon
Here’s yet another picture from the trip to Vikhög the other day. Just as the one from yesterday the camera is pointed somewhere else rather than the sea but don’t worry. We’ll get to that soon enough:)
In the evening
Today we take a look at another picture from the balcony. It’s not that I’m lazy, well , not only, but the setting sun always looks so lovely. Especially at times like this one, when the rays are clearly visible like below.
Enchanting
This is perhaps not the grandest of views but the sky was so beautiful as the sun was setting that I just couldn’t help myself;)

The fountain
Here are two pictures of the fountain at Västra Stationstorget. I guess that pretty much covers what needs to be said^^

Domkyrkan revisited
The days are short this time of year so a “at night theme” is perhaps fitting. Here’s another picture of Domkyran, this time from the front. In the lower right corner, behind the creepy lady who was watching me for several minutes before she left, is a part of the newly opened Domkyrkoforum.

The thin red line
This picture, which shows yet another part of Lund at night, made me think of the movie The thin red line. I need to see it soon again because it’s great:)
Domkyrkan
It feels like it’s been a long time since I’ve been able to go out and get some new material to show you. Last night though, I managed to slip out for a few minutes and got a few shots of Lund in the dark. Today we begin with the compulsory picture of Domkyrkan.
Lights
Every winter Lund gets lit up by light installations made by some of the students from the university. I hope to soon show you what they have come up with for this year but until then a picture from three years ago will have to make do.

The 2nd flash
The 2nd flash I caught from that storm the other night. I want some more bad weather:)
Lightning
Today I’m giving you the number 1357. That’s the amount of pictures I took from my balcony last night in the middle of a raging thunderstorm. To capture lightning in a photo is something that I’ve been wanting to do for many years. I first got the chance a few years back with my old compact camera, Ixus 65, but it was of course virtually impossible to accomplish with that one. There has been a number of thunderstorms since then but last night is the first one with my DSLR camera available as well as my new wide-angle lens. The equipment gave me the opportunity but from there on it was all about experimentation for me. I tried a lot of different settings and times of exposure and finally I came to the conclusion that around 1-0,8 seconds works best.
How many pictures I got worth showing out of those 1357? Two. The one below is the first one of them. Was it worth it? OF COURSE:)

Merry new year!
Well well, what do you know. We did manage to break the 16k barrier yesterday and even with a nice margin at that:) It’s high time for me to say thank you for another year in your company and I can’t emphasize enough how much all your visits mean to me. I keep this blog because I’m interested in photography and also enjoy writing a little something here everyday but, without your visits here there wouldn’t be much point to it, would it?:)
I could go on and on about this but I sense that you’re on your way somewhere with a drink in your hand so, from all of me to all of you, a very merry new year!.

Lights
As previously mentioned, I was out walking in Lundagård the other evening. Every year students from the university arrange a light constellation in Lund and this year is no different. This year, though, the place has changed. Instead of going with Bantorget and Stadsparken as they usually do, they have chosen Lundagård. I don’t understand why though, since that place is already fairly Christmassy with the big tree in front of AF with its lights. Well, I gave it a chance but the constellation is less impressive and nice than it has been the other years (please refer to these posts: “The fellas” or “Hands“).
The picture below shows pretty much the highlight (hehe). Everything else is something that I for one could live without.
Reflections
With this picture of a piece of Malmoe harbor I bid you all a nice weekend. Mine will spent in Jutland and I’m really looking forward to it:)
Illuminated
A friend and I went to Malmoe harbour the other week. Here’s another shot from that session. The big building with its nice lit up windows and frontage is called Öresundsverket and delivers electricity to the better part of Scania.
Cloudy
This photo was taken yesterday in Malmö. On the far left is the Øresund Bridge and on its opposite side is the lights from Kastrup, the airport in Copenhagen. I really like this picture and by that I especially mean the whitish clouds just above the airport. I had an idea that I wanted to try out but unfortunately the circumstances with a strong wind and the distance made this impossible but that’s ok. This gives me a good excuse to go there and try again:)
Have a nice weekend:)
Rocks
I know, there seems to be no end to all the dark pictures here but tomorrow will bring something else, I promise:) This was taken close to Lomma, looking out over Öresund with chimneys, factories and wind mills visible over at the Danish side. As you can see I’ve yet again used a longer exposure time, which I like but what I think definitely makes the picture is all the rocks in the foreground.
The basin
Here’s another picture from this weekend’s trip to the harbor of Malmoe. This was taken a bit earlier than the one from yesterday and at a different place called “oljehamnen”. This is an area with mainly industries instead of apartments and houses which is easy to spot in the photo where chimneys and warehouses completely dominate the sides of the basin.
By now many of you must have noticed that I have a soft spot for pictures taken by the water and with a longer exposure time and the picture below is no exception. I must say that I like it a lot:)
Skyline
It’s been a loong time since Stefan and I was out for a trip with our cameras but last night was one of those rare times. We usually end up by the sea in one way or the other and this time was no different with Malmoe as our goal. Malmoe may not have the same impressive skyline as many bigger cities throughout the world but it looks pretty good when you look at from this angle if you ask me.
(is there anyone out there who still haven’t understood about pressing the pictures in order to see them in their right size?:)
The roof
It must be a pretty rare event to climb not only the roof of your house but even the chimney on top of it? None the less, that is what people passing by my house at around ten o’clock yesterday evening could see if they were to have glanced upwards. It’s not as dramatic as it sounds but perhaps just as crazy;) Anyway, this is what I saw from there:
