Perhaps this shopping mall in Brussels hasn’t got the size of Fields in Copenhagen or Emporia in Malmoe but I find it a lot more impressive. This is mainly because construction of Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert was started in 1846 which makes it just a tad older than those newer mega shopping centers. What’s even more in its favor is that it actually seems to have a ‘soul’ which is more than you can say about its distant relatives with their plastic facades and endless rows of stores desperately reaching for your money.
