Last summer I visited Amsterdam and a couple of hours were spent at De Horthus which is the name of the botanical gardens of Amsterdam. It was a beautiful place and well worth a visit. I liked it a lot compared to the one we have here in Lund where I live. Where ours is full of open spaces De Horthus is almost too crowded but that creates an almost jungle like effect. They also have a green house full of butterflies of which this nice looking one was a resident.
I bought a new Panasonic DMC-TZ40 compact camera this summerand from now on many pictures that I post will be taken with it. Not because it is better in any way than my DSLR camera but it’s smaller and easy to fit in a pocket when both hands are full with baby related things.
Anyway, I had the good fortune of capturing an ant while it was about to drag away a little bug. Not only that, I managed to capture it all in slow motion with 200 pictures per second! The result was quite cool and I’m actually a bit pleased with the video:)
Edit: It seems like you have to go to Vimeo’s own page in order to see the movie in HD and full screen which is something I really recommend. (Please press on HD in the lower right corner of the video and follow instructions).
