Today I’d like to show you a couple of photos that I’ve taken from our living room. I don’t think we have the most exciting view but it’s not to shabby either.
I hope that the pictures below aren’t too scary to look at or, perhaps that no people with arachnophobia sees the post. The pictures were taken last summer at Nørre Rubjerg in north Jutland, Denmark. I don’t know if last year was especially good for spiders but I saw lots and lots of them. Some small, some really big ones. More will come but the spider below starts us off. As you can see he/she has just caught a fly in its web and is about to have a snack.
Last summer we visited Amsterdam for almost an entire week. I had a lot of time on my own with Jr and spent a couple of hours on one of those days at the wonderful botanical garden of Amsterdam called De Hortus. I liked it all, especially walking in the cool shade under the trees but, to my one year old, nothing whatsoever could compete with the huge and beautiful butterflies in one of the greenhouses.
Last summer I visited Amsterdam and a couple of hours were spent at De Horthus which is the name of the botanical gardens of Amsterdam. It was a beautiful place and well worth a visit. I liked it a lot compared to the one we have here in Lund where I live. Where ours is full of open spaces De Horthus is almost too crowded but that creates an almost jungle like effect. They also have a green house full of butterflies of which this nice looking one was a resident.
