I’ve taken so many pictures in a nature area outside of Lund called Skrylle during my various bike trips there that it’s been long since I lost count of them. A couple of evenings ago I snapped this one as I was heading home. Normally I like summer more than fall but one thing fall has going for it, is the intense colors in the beautiful sunsets and sunrises.
Frequent visitors to this blog are probably quite familiar with a nature area outside of Lund called Skrylle. It is a very beautiful place and dear to me in many ways since I practically grew up there. I actually don’t live that far away from Skrylle and would have liked to go there more often but there never seems to be enough time for stuff like that anymore.

Skrylle is an area some kilometers outside of Lund. Just beside Skrylle is a huge quarry that is still being used today. Beside that is in turn an older quarry that was turned into a recreation area some years ago with a small lake, or pond in the middle of it. This area is very well-known to me since I practically grew up there and, as often as I get the chance, I try to go there for a walk or to ride my mountain bike. Normally it is very beautiful out there but now, in the middle of a wonderful fall, with the trees in their fall uniform it is hard to describe it with words. I’d rather just show you a picture of it.

A few hours of last Sunday was spent outside of Lund in Trollskogen. The wood-anemones are still around but I think they don’t have that many days left this spring. I’m happy to have seen them and to post a picture of them here if you haven’t been able to see them for yourselves in real life.
Today I’ve been up since a quarter to seven. First to do some laundry and after that to buy some bread at Lund’s best bakery, St. Jacobs. I noticed as a left my house that, even though it was only five degrees Celsius, it felt like spring in the air. Now, a few hours later the sun has broken through the morning mist and we’re ready for our first longer bike trip of the year.
Last weekend we went to Skrylle by car for a little walk, a hamburger with the added bonus of meeting some cats like the one below but riding our bikes, like today is even better:)
