One night, while staying at my girlfriend’s parent’s summer-house, I woke up at 2 o’clock and noticed that the room was lit up by the full moon. In a city you don’t notice the moon that much but in the country side without lights in the streets and so on it really shines. I stood there looking at the beautiful sight and, of course, I set up the camera in order to try to catch some of it “on film”. The exposure time was set to 13 seconds but even so I find it amazing that the color of the grass is clearly visible.

inI’m not sure which one of the pictures I like the most. This one, where the moon is visible or the one below with the moon behind a thin veil of clouds. What do you think?
As usual, please press for a much bigger version:)

inHere’s another photo showing the full moon over Islands Brygge in Copenhagen. It’s pretty much the same scene as in the one from a few days back although it was taken with a wide-angle lens instead of the zoom objective that I used back then.
You have got to see this one in its full size so please press it:)

Kulturnatten in Copenhagen had more to offer than just model trains. As mentioned before we rode a Segway under a perfect full moon just by the water. After the ride I took a few pictures of the moon and the skyline at Islands Brygge. Today’s picture shows, from left, Danisco, the Danish sugar company. After that comes the three chimneys of Amagerverket which is the local electricity company. In front of those chimneys is Christians Kirke and, finally, the tower looming behind the house on the right is Vor Frelsers Kirke. In the sky we find a full moon and the long thin line of light that is the sign of an airplane passing by. The line shows how far it got during my six seconds of exposure time.
